Timeless and Contemporary, Alexis Drake's Hand-Crafted Designs are Heirlooms in the Making
While a sculpture major at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Alexis Drake’s design talents led to a three year internship with a jewelry designer. Here she learned the fundamentals of working with precious metals and began to create her own designs. After graduation, Alexis moved to Chicago, where she has been designing jewelry full-time since January, 2006.
Raised in Wyoming and inspired by architecture and nature, Alexis brings simplicity and timelessness to her beautiful hand-crafted designs in 14k gold and sterling silver. Her contemporary pieces are heirlooms in the making.
Alexis’s very first design was the tag necklace, inspired by a classic necklace her grandmother wears daily. She has since elaborated on the “tag” theme with a line of classic necklaces, earrings and bracelets. Two new additions in sterling silver include a 5-tag necklace, and the distinctive tag charm bracelet. With or without additional charms, this could be your own signature piece.
Many designs in her collection are simple basics, perfect alone or great for layering. Timeless charms (heart, teardrop, leaf, cross, breast cancer ribbon, and her signature tag) on delicate 16”, 18”, and 20” chains are an elegant addition to any outfit.
For a unique design with a touch of the West, you’ll love Alexis's Signature Bracelet, a soft leather band with 12 chunky sterling silver "links," the toggle clasp accented with a cubed turquoise bead.
The Chicklet Bracelet is the designer's showpiece, a funky signature design whose five strands of leather bands are interwoven with 18 chunky sterling silver "links". Both are available in men's as well as women's sizes, and a choice of hot leather colors!
Alexis is one of the few local jewelry designers offering selections for men. In addition to the bracelets, her cufflinks are the perfect accessory to dress up his wardrobe.
