Florodora - the only boutique in the Loop, is proud to continue its support for Chicago designers by hosting three events in November.
** Jewelry Design Book Release Party and Kathy Frey Trunk Show **
Friday, November 14th, 12-7pm
The latest book by German publisher Daab is entitled "Jewelry Design," and was edited by Carissa Kowalski Dougherty of Chicago. The book is an outstanding survey of the latest work by cutting-edge jewelry designers from all over the world.
One of the featured designers is Chicagoan Kathy Frey, who makes sculptural designs from sterling silver wire. Carissa and Kathy will both be at Florodora for this book party, and Kathy will bring her full collection for a trunk show as well.
** Ping Wu Trunk Show **
Friday, November 21st, 12-6pm
Ping Wu, a Chicago designer recently featured in the "Chicago is...Red Hot!" fashion show, makes avant garde but deliciously wearable hats, scarves, gloves and more. Many of Ping's pieces can be worn in multiple ways, so she'll be on hand to demonstrate.
