Angelina Jolie - Our Picks for Shopping in Chicago

With an Academy Award, four beautiful children, and the very handsome Brad Pitt at her side, Angelina Jolie seems to have it all. But while she’s in Chicago shooting Wanted by Universal Pictures, what she doesn’t have is time.   

The time to seek out the best in Chicago shopping, of course! See More Shopping knows a mission when we see one. Accordingly, we’ve put together our recommended shopping destinations for Angelina and family to get the most out of their stay.  

Angelina is famous for strutting her sophisticated style around the world, most lately into Chicago’s hot sushi spot, Japonais. Before her next night out, she needs to head to the Calvin Tran boutique, at 2154 N. Halsted in Lincoln Park.   


Calvin’s summer collection includes modern, yet romantic evening dresses perfect for accentuating sexy summer shoulders.

Angelina would look great in Calvin’s Callahdress, and will be happy to know that this sexy knit dress will travel well to her next destination. Calvin Tran’s collections also feature daytime and evening separates suitable for in and on the town.  


To finish the outfit, she can don a pair of stylish open-toe sandals by Givenchy, available at upscale shoe merchant Josephine. Located at 1405 N. Whether the occasion is dressy or casual, Angelina will always make the right statement with a pair of designer shoes from Josephine.  

With Brad Pitt on one arm, Angelina must keep the other arm company. And what smarter way to do so than with a sumptuous leather handbag from Chicago designer, Diego Rocha. We at See More Shopping know that Angelina can’t run after four little ones in stilettos and dresses (well maybe she can), so here are our picks for a sophisticated and manageable daytime look. Since Angelina is enjoying a luxurious suite at the Peninsula, we recommend a nearby store for a quick (and hopefully paparazzi-free) shopping trip.

Gold Coast merchant, Jake offers an awesome array of modern chic from such top designers as Alexander McQueen, Helmut Lang and Habitual, as well as offerings from emerging designers. Finding the perfect pair of jeans is no problem at Jake, but Angelina can also up the ante and go for streamlined pieces like pencil skirts by Helmut Lang and tailored tuxedo shirts by Rag & Bone.  

With a carefully edited men’s selection, Brad will easily fill the extra space in his suitcase at Jake. For chillier evenings, Brad’s must-haves could be the Oliver Spencer Utility Jacket and a pair of relaxed jeans by Jean Shop. Chicago comfort and style has never been so easy to slip into.   

While Angie is spending long days on set, Brad can also head out to Haberdash, located at 1350 N. Wells. Here he’ll find the latest in men’s casual styles, including James Perse, Converse by John Varvatos, and Original Penguin.

Our sources have indicated Ms. Jolie has visited Lincoln Square’s Timeless Toys. She might want to visit the North Side again for some trendy kids’ clothes. Little Threads, 2033 W. Roscoe in Roscoe Village, features irresistible duds by Wes and Willy and Charlie Rocket.   

Another hip kids’ clothes stop is Madison and Friends, at their newest Gold Coast location, 43 East Oak Street. Madison and Friends sells kid-sized versions of popular adult brands, like Rock and Republic, True Religion and Juicy Couture.  

Grow, at 1943 W. Division Street in Wicker Park, is a must-visit destination for organic clothing for the little ones, as well as an assortment of children’s furniture and accessories.   

With an abundance of shopping options fit for even the Jolie-Pitt brood, Chicago has a lot to be proud of. And there’s certainly no reason why we mere mortals can’t strut ourselves around Chicago as stylishly as Oscar winners! Just take our recommendations, and you’ll be straight off the pages of a magazine in no time!
