Located on tree-lined Wells Street in Old Town, Eliana Lily is a gem of a boutique for lovers of its chic, modern merchandise sourced from NYC, LA, Milan, and Barcelona.

But what makes this shop unique is the remarkable, hands-on restyling department, where customers’ outdated or ill-fitting clothes are turned into something new and wonderful.  

Not surprisingly, owner Elizabeth Floersheimer began her fashion career  several years ago as a hands-on designer, crafting her own handbags from fabric and leather. Her creations were extremely well-received by friends and family, so she began selling them at parties. The boutique followed. And  now her customizable handbag designs are one of her boutique’s most popular items.  

Among the many other reasons to shop at Eliana Lily are the carefully edited selection of feminine dresses and tops, premium denim, and a remarkably varied jewelry collection that consists of bold, one-of-a-kind pieces. Some current favorites include chunky cocktail rings from Italy and dramatic necklaces by Elizabeth’s friend and fellow designer/boutique owner Claudia Kleiner (owner of Malabar).   

And for customers wanting to rejuvenate their own older pieces, Elizabeth and her talented staff will work to transform them into something to cherish. “It’s one of the most fun aspects of my job,” she reveals. “It’s so exciting to come up with something amazing, especially when it’s on the spur of the moment.” Groups can reserve the restyling space for wardrobe makeover parties. Now there’s a creative option for your next girls’ night out!  

“I named the boutique after my daughter,” says Elizabeth, “and I discovered the space while I was taking classes down the street at the Second City. It was originally a Supercuts, so we had a lot of work to do.” Today, however, it resembles nothing so much as a contemporary version of an Art Deco era boudoir, albeit one belonging to a very fashionable woman.  

Besides her boutique, Elizabeth also owns Blo, a Lincoln Park salon that specializes in (you guessed it) blowouts and other quick treatments. Now her customers can pick out the perfect ensemble at Eliana Lily, and head north to complete their look at Blo.  It’s the perfect way to spend the day, pampering yourself in style.
