Clothing design is not new to Chicago designer Beth Lambert. Since 2002, her company Scarlet Designs has been the source of timeless, trend-setting clothing perfect for busy professionals to wear from work to evening.
In response to her customers' requests for more formal options for special occasions, Beth launched her line of Special Occasion Separates in 2006.
These adaptable separates can be worn to a formal event, or matched with everyday pieces to dress up an outfit for work or an evening with friends. Finally, affordable formal wear that you can mix and match for multiple looks – day or night!
For brides planning their wedding, selecting bridal party dresses could not be easier. With Special Occasion Separates, choose your color palette but let each wearer choose a flattering style she will want to wear again. Your entire party can wear variations on a theme without that overdone "matched" look.
Special Occasion Separates offers over 80 versatile separates in glorious fabrics, including silks, embroidered silks, taffeta, and satin, in beautiful colors, and a wide range of sizes. With all theses choices, you won’t have any difficulty finding the most flattering style, fabric and color. And everything is made to your specifications right here in Chicago.
Stylish and sophisticated, the shoulder-baring camisole and strapless tops come in sizes 2-24 with prices starting at $148.
Skirts start at $144, and are available in four lengths. The skirts are designed in a lovely wrap effect that come in a generous range of sizes (2-12, 14-18, and 20-24). The flowing A-Line styles are sized S-M-L, +1 and +2.
Special Occasion Separates also designs men’s ties and separates for children in sizes infant through preteen.
Since all designs are made-to-order, be sure to plan ahead. Wedding orders must be placed 16 weeks in advance of your big event.
Beth Lambert is very active in the Chicago fashion community. She is a founding Board Member of The Chicago Fashion Foundation (CFF) and also sits on Mayor Daley’s Fashion Advisory Council supporting the growth of locally-owned fashion businesses. Her designs were also chosen for the 2006 Macy’s Designer Shop.
