For over a decade, Timeless Toys has been selling toys for newborns to early teens in the quaint Lincoln Square shopping area. Amaze and inspire come to mind, when you walk into this local gem.  

This independently owned store is not your copycat toy store. Timeless Toys carries very limited licensed products typically found in mass merchandisers and chain stores. No Barbie & her friends. No Disney. No Lego’s.

Instead, shoppers will find a treasure of toys, over 5000 different products, packed from floor to ceiling by age and category classifications.  

Children will be entertained by the visual delights, moving from one area to the next, playing along the way. Adults will be amazed by the shelves upon shelves filled with well-made imported brands including Schleich and Kaithe Kruse from Germany, PAPO and Carolle from France, and a selective assortment of recognizable brands including BRIO, Thomas the Tank Engine, TY, Baby Gund, Lamaze, and Groovy Girls.  

Since electronics are virtually non-existent, children will be encouraged to use their imagination in this toy wonderland.


Timeless Toys offers musical instruments made from wood, beautifully crafted puppets from Folk Manis, medieval and pirate play figurines, dress up costumes and hats for the princess or pirate-to-be, baby dolls and playmates, and wooden dollhouse and kitchen sets.

Do-it-yourself art supplies, science kits, and toys for the outdoors are also available.  


The store’s focus on educational products extends further to a nice selection of books including classics for the young –Madeline, Curious George, Beatrix Potter, Dr. Seuss, and for the older readers –Stuart Little, Little Women, Chronicles of Narnia, and Harry Potter. Board games, including the popular Blokus strategy game, travel games for those long family trips, and 5000 piece puzzles are also available.  

What toy store wouldn’t be complete without the classic rocking horse, ride-on fire engine, red tricycle and Radio Flyer wagon? In tradition with well-made imported products throughout the store, the Kettler tricycles from Germany, made with tubular steel and rubber tires, are sure to hold up better than any plastic version.
